October 31, 2026 falls on a Saturday. That is the whole story if you post for a living. A Friday Halloween burns the peak into a work night. A Saturday gives the same clip Friday and Saturday, which is why group-costume searches jumped about 36 percent in a week and “trio costume ideas” has been logged around 4.8 million searches.
The formats already have audio. The Ramalama costume walk is a low camera, a slow approach, then a zoom-out that reveals the fit, cut to Róisín Murphy’s “Ramalama (Bang Bang).” The pumpkin-head illusion is simpler: hold the pumpkin on the lens so it reads as a head, then drop it. Jennifer’s Body costumes are back in the same conversation because the reference is one frame and a mouth.
NRF’s forecast for the season is a record $13.5 billion. A HalloweenCostumes.com survey this year had about 15 percent of people starting their planning on TikTok, so the costume is a search result before it is a purchase. If a product, a look, or a joke is not in costume language between now and November 1, it is speaking under the trend instead of inside it.
Do not wait for the 31st. The searchable week is this one and the next. Trios outperform a solo “what should I be” video because the comments cast the third friend. That is free distribution.
